The Art Of Making A Luminous Top Ten

Top Ten
Christmas Classics
Luminous-Style!

1)
It's A Wonderful Life

2) The Bells of St-Mary's
3) A Christmas Story (1983)
4) A Christmas Story (1913)
5) Benji's Very Own Christmas Story
6) Miracle on 34th Street (1947) (1)
7) The First Christmas (1998)
8) The First Christmas (2005)
9) Noel (1992)
10) Noel (2004)

(1) - I only include a bonafide "Santa flick" here because of the presence of the magnificent Maureen O'Hara and little Natalie Wood in said flick...! Otherwise... Capisce?

No one has even dreamed of attempting a remake of the top two picks for this luminous list - THANK GOD!

... not so far -not at blogging time- anyways!

Anyway... you SEE; it is not so difficult to put together a *luminous list* - one that truly reflects the Truth! You simply weed out -or outright ignore- all the drivel, all the craaaaap that has been infesting our senses in the last few DECADES, really... You keep to the truly classic far; the one that stood the test of TIME! And you respect your elders; the originals! ET VOILÀ: you have got yourself a true-blue luminous compilation of what is truly GOOD within the chosen parameters - in this case, the exclusive niche of Holiday Cheer on celluloid!

The Art Of Mesmerizing

... and of being versatile, too!

Aye - Sally Field did learn from the BEST - which explains how she went from The Flying Nun to Stay Hungry, Smokey & The Bandit and Oscar-winning roles with such ease...!
She had one of the very best womentors ever in cinematic history...!
Or she simply emulated her!

These Two...

One can indeed note the striking resemblance between the two actresses (the teach, played by Diane Gaidry -lower right- is truly a dead ringer for the late Miriam... Coincidence? Hmm...)
