The Art Of Conveying A Message Through Social Media
It is a fine art indeed: and one that is getting developed, day in and day out, by millions of practitioners worldwide (mainly on... Facebook. But not exclusively there, no!)
We thought we'd write an essay on this, eventually - when we find the time to do so!
Until then, how about a simple round-up of fine examples of just that - hmm?
Here we go!
Isla Fisher - what a great name! (We are sure she will make everyone forget all other Fishers - even Carrie, and most certainly Eddie - for, after all, she is a redhead. And the last Isla (or was it Ilsa? Bah - close enough!) we saw in action was utterly, ah, merciless too. This one looks the part as well... But we are digressing right off the bat - as per usual. Carry on...)
With two new movies coming out - two very interesting ones at that: a remake (nobody really asked for) of The Great Gatsby and the very peculiar spin on the old Robin Hood schema, mixing it with stage magician wizardry, grand larceny and even time travelling to give us ''Now You See Me'' with an all-star cast that appears to be mixing the casts of both blockbusters from last summer - a few thespians from The Dark Knight Rises (and falls back down again - wasn't it?) with at least one notable from the CGI-laden Avengers (you gotta do what you gotta do in order to make all those allegedly invincible, definitely incredible and most certainly improbable bulky personas come to on-screen life...! We know - another digression, again! Just carry on now...)
And then, there's Isla...!
She's a scene-stealer in both films - though she admits in interview (above - if still available. Don't blame us - blame Y!Screen and ask them Y!... ) that she has a small role in the Gatsby remake. Nevertheless, what few scenes she has, she promptly steals for, after all, who would anyone rather ogle if given the choice: Leo... Tobey... Or Isla?!? The choice is clear!
Same deal with ''Now You See Me...'' now you don't see Isla! With such an all-star cast (as she said herself, ''all those Oscar-nominees and then me'' - including old-timers Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine, here aptly representing Bilderberg instead of playing cronies to the Batty Man. Plus there's that always angry guy who took over the role left vacant by Eric Bana and Edward Norton - whatsisname again? All that, more, and as if that wasn't enough... Woody Harrelson. Heck, it's as if Defendor meets the Hulk after Batman quits, leaving Alfred to make his own money in the world of high finances? Well... not quite, of course, but it is always fun to do this, somehow... Carry on again...) it is true that Isla can get lost in the shuffle easily - as she is in danger of being lost as the focus of this very blog post here, with our incessant sidetracking...! Still, somehow, that is not the case at all! She rises to the surface and steals every scene she is in again. Now, being not only the only girl on stage but a redheaded girl at that, it is not entirely surprising, to tell the truth...!
It is not simply the color of her hair, of course: she stands out with her line-delivery, her cool and strong demeanor. She plays tough cookies well - and she knows it! And we thought such savory character-actresses had disappeared from the Tinseltown firmament with the likes of Madeline Kahn, Phyllis Diller or something...! Not the case - not the case at all! And seeing as she is virtually unique nowadays, Isla should be getting a steady supply of roles like that for a long time to come...
Mark our words here (and remember you heard it here first, folks!) - Isla will be getting an Oscar nomination all her own very, very soon. (Not for being in any movie made by her hubby, though; so, she's married to BORAT of all people - nobody's perfect, eh?)
Born in the Age of Aquarius, destined to seek out truths in many an art form, trained as a historian and a journalist but truly a prose-lover... Luciano is out to dispel any clichés and reinvent them all both to the tune of a little something called the truth as also to his own image - and being old-fashioned, he does not mind that distinction one infinitesimal tiny bit at all...! "There are two ways to spread the light; be the candle... or the mirror that reflects It." I have chosen to be the latter... okay? ~*~
"To be not only a seeker of light... but a dream weaver of light" ~*~ For as surely as the moon reflects the light from the sun, you and I can reflect the Light from Above - and be, indeed, the light of this world! ~*~*~*~ NOTE: THERE ARE COOKIES ~ from at least three parties~ ON ALL OF MY BLOGS! ~*~ accept it!
Hey - yet another 1969 classic film!
