The Art Of Scoring A Film
Finding the essence of the main protagonist -
tell his or her story through music,
and not skip a beat, meanwhile,
Now, did these guys really succeed at that...?
...
Frankly, I think this would have done fine for Batty:
...
Let's compare now
with Batman's colleague and comrade-in-arms, oftentimes,
Aquaman!

DC/WB succeed best with the mere use of a pre-recorded song (that blessed brand new way to make some moolah for struggling bands - sure beats sampling famous guitar riffs to make your song stand out more!) than they did with the express commissioning of one illustrious Hans Zimmer who, even in collaboration with another, produced dreck, basically...
A fake knight who roams around in the dark of the night deserves no better...
While TRUSTCompany's hit song seemed so appropriate for the Sea King though, and it became a greater hit thanks to its exposure on the Aquaman pilot episode, it seems to have been a bad omen for AQ...
...
The mere lyrics of the song casted a streak of oncoming bad luck for, one might guess, the character of Aquaman, the band that sings the song AND maybe even the listener...
"Can I break away...
Push me away...
Make me fall
Just to see another side of me"
And then there's the title, of course: "Downfall".
This seems to have inspired DC to indeed "push away" the main character here - sort of make him pay for having cost in excess of 11 million dollars for a pilot that was not picked up as a new fall series by the hybrid CW network...
The band, meanwhile, has not been heard of since really - to the best of my knowledge...
And to each listener his or her own fate!
Only glimmer of hope there: once we do fall, our adversaries will see ANOTHER SIDE OF US they didn't expect! ;)
Beware - fools! *lol*
As for Bats...
One can hope that the next movie will inspire itself from the "KNIGHTFALL" storyline...!!!
;)
